I'm writing an article for the Ottawa Citizen's new "Boomer" magazine (aimed at Baby Boomers of course!). The article is "OLD FLAMES/NEW SPARKS" and will focus on social networking sites like Facebook that have made it easy to connect with friends from years past ? including people we might have been especially close to, or maybe just wanted to be. The article will tell the stories of people who have reconnected (or just connected) this way. The good, the bad and the ugly . . . I'm looking for it all. For example, has reconnecting with an old flame caused a problem with a current relationship!? I know you have a lot of people on your list who may have something interesting to say about this topic . . . How about you Murray? Deadline? Would like to polish this off by the end of next week (Labour Day weekend) Susan Hickman 613-290-7646 -- Best! -pwm aka Patrick Meikle "The Connector" patrick at writersdeadline.ca Moderator - Writers' Deadline!! Our business is to persuade the public to buy our books or read what we've published in newspapers, magazines, or online. We need to convince media to call us for interviews, companies to hire us, or strangers to purchase what we're selling. Learning how to write compelling promotional materials is essential, and having access to proven techniques from a master marketer is pure gold. Bobbi Graham has just reviewed a book all writers need to read. It's called The Secrets of Emotional, Hot-Button Copywriting: How to Employ the 7 Key copy Drivers that Make People Act.
